1. Introduction At Tanzania Unwrapped, we aim to provide our clients with exceptional travel experiences. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes require changes to your plans. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which we process refunds for our services, including safaris, hikes, and other tours.
By booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. We encourage you to carefully review our cancellation and refund guidelines.
2. Booking and Payment Terms A deposit is required to confirm your booking with Tanzania Unwrapped. The deposit amount is typically 30% of the total cost of your tour or safari. The remaining balance is due before or upon arrival as specified in your booking confirmation.
Deposit: The deposit is non-refundable, except as outlined in the exceptions below.
Full Payment: The full payment is due as per the agreed-upon payment schedule in your booking agreement.
3. Cancellations and Refunds If you need to cancel your booking, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible. The refund amount is determined by the timing of your cancellation relative to the scheduled departure date:
More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit.
31–60 days before departure: 50% refund of the total tour cost.
Within 30 days of departure: No refund will be issued.
4. Exceptional Circumstances We understand that emergencies or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, travel restrictions, natural disasters) may arise. In such cases, we may offer a partial refund, a future booking credit, or the option to reschedule, depending on the circumstances and at our discretion.
5. Changes to Your Booking If you wish to make changes to your itinerary, we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, any changes made within 30 days of departure may incur additional charges or penalties. Changes to a booking may also be subject to availability.
6. Refund Process If you are eligible for a refund, the refund will be processed back to the original method of payment. Please note that it may take several business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
7. Non-Refundable Services Certain services, such as park fees, permits, and other third-party services, may be non-refundable once booked and paid for. These fees are typically non-refundable even in the event of cancellation or rescheduling.
8. Travel Insurance We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect against potential cancellations, delays, or disruptions. Travel insurance can cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost baggage, and other unforeseen issues.
9. No Shows If you fail to show up for your scheduled tour or safari, no refund will be issued. If you are unable to make your trip due to an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss possible alternatives.
10. Force Majeure In the event of force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, or other extraordinary circumstances), Tanzania Unwrapped reserves the right to modify or cancel your trip. In such cases, we will offer options such as rescheduling, a partial refund, or a credit towards future services, depending on the situation.
